{ten} how often do you rearrange your furniture?
all the time. i can't stand for things to look the same for too long.

I feel like we've been so busy lately, but we haven't really done that much.

The last time I posted we were heading to the delta to go to the Catfish Festival.
That did not happen.
We went to the delta, but we ended up hanging around my mom's house the whole time.
We spent the whole day Saturday outside. We washed our car and her car and drove around looking at what had changed around town - most of it is still the same. I wouldn't like it if things changed too much there.
It always feels like the days go by slower there ( in a good way)
Saturday night, Tj started complaining about his throat hurting, so after multiple Walgreens trips for medicine and sick people food, he went to bed for the night.
Sunday morning we , minus Tj went to eat lunch with Lyl and Ben at the Crystal Grill
Nothing like going there on Sunday to see everyone, their mama, and grandmama. (Literally!)
I saw so many people that I had not seen in a looong time!
I wish I had taken pictures of Lyl with the boys, but Preston wouldn't have it and Greer just wanted his bottle.
Overall, we enjoyed our weekend at home. I think we'll be going back again soon! ;)

yay - it's almost Friday!
i think i'll spend this weekend doing this:
ok. not really- i'll be sitting outside wishing i was somewhere like that.

i could really go for a candy bar..

ugh. my lunch break is over (yes it is only 11:25) and i REALLY want a candy bar!
it really wouldn't even matter what kind. Ok, maybe not a butterfinger (yuck!) but the majority of candy would do at this moment.
and this would just be over the top good right now! :

On another note, I'm looking forward to a good (hopefully warm) weekend!
We have decided to go to the Delta for The Catfish Festival.
I don't remember ever going to the Catfish Festival growing up, but that is in Tj's neck of the woods so he loves to go ! It should be fun.
Even though it's supposed to be all about Catfish, it really ends up being all about :
that's right CRAWFISH! Yummy ! I haven't had any of these yet this year, and I didn't have ANY last year since I was pregnant. I know I probably could have eaten them, but the whole crawFISH part made me nervous to eat them.
so with that,

HAPPY ALMOST FRIDAY ! & A GOOD WEEKEND TO EVERYONE

st paddy's day fun facts !

I found these little fun facts about St. Patrick's day and thought i would share.

  • You better sit down for this one. St. Patrick was not Irish! His dad was Italian, his mother was Scottish and he was born in Scotland. His birth name was Maewyn Succat. Who knew? And the whole chasing snakes out of Ireland? Just a legend.
  • Raise Your Glass. On the average day, 5.5 million pints of Guiness are consumed around the world. That number more then doubles on St. Patrick's Day, with more than 13 million pints going down the hatch.
  • Shake It Up. The beloved McDonald's Shamrock Shake, introduced in 1970, is not available nationwide. Ask for this minty, green, dreamy shake in places like Tennessee, North Carolina and Kentucky and they"ll look at you like you are crazy. Check out shamrockshake.com for a complete list of Shamrock Shake sightings across the country.
  • Better book that church now. St. Patrick's Day is considered the luckiest day of the year to get married
  • ...Unless it is a Saturday. According to Irish superstition,Saturday is the worst day of the week to get married. As the proverb states "Marry on Monday for wealth - Tuesday for health - Wednesday the best day of all - Thursday for losses - Friday for crosses - Saturday for no luck at all."
  • Keep you eye on the prize, and the leprechaun.Legend has it that if you catch a leprechaun, he will promise great wealth if you let him go. However, don't take your eyes off him or he will vanish!
  • Four leaf clovers -- for your eyes only. Found a four leaf clover? Great. You will now have good luck in gambling and racing and it will render witchcraft powerless! However, you must always carry it with you and never  show it to others, or your luck will fail.
  • This is way worse than bad luck! Forget about bad luck. According to the Irish, if a black cat crosses your path in the moonlight, you will die in an epidemic. Yikes!
  • Get your green on! Consider yourself warned: if you don't wear green on St. Patrick's Day, people are allowed to pinch you.  It was believed that wearing green made you invisible to leprechauns, who would pinch anyone they could see. Revelers began pinching those who didn’t wear green as a reminder of that belief.
  • Seeing Green. For the past 40 years, the Chicago River has been dyed a brilliant shade of emerald green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. Forty pounds of vegetable dye help provide the vibrant hue.

The last few days

This past weekend, TJ went to the deer camp with his brother to help build a deck on to his trailer.
So Gigi( my mom) came down to spend some QT with me Preston & Greer.

I decided, since she was there to watch the boys, that I would get crafty and
redo this ugly coffee table of ours!

It was rainy that day, so I set up shop in the garage. Preston kept running in and out of the garage to check on what I was doing. One trip didn't turn out so great though. He rounded the corner, in his sock feet of course, and caught the door facing with his mouth! OUCH!
I saw blood coming from his mouth and immediately PANIC ensued.
I just knew he had knocked another tooth out. Luckily, all he got was a fat lip
:(

After all that, I finally finished my project!
TADA!
I'm quite happy with it!
Shabby Chic :)

Mama brought a few toys and the jumper for Greer that weekend.
Ever since Preston has been a little jealous, and keeps popping up in all of Greer's things.
We've found him sitting in the highchair, the jumper, the exersaucer, bumbo seat, etc...
Hopefully this will pass soon!

Greer has started eating baby food two times a day now, instead of 1.
He's already up to 19.1 lbs !!
I know, he's a chunk.

but ain't he cute !

Now i'm just ready for this weekend to hurry up and get here, so I can enjoy these cute little men some more!

Happy Almost Friday !!

brotherly love

 I have been blessed.
Sometimes when you least expect it, you get a slap in the face (thankfully not a literal slap)
that makes you realize how much you have to be thankful for and all the petty worries disappear, even if only for a little while.
